APS helps turn production orders into a realistic and up-to-date shop floor schedule.
The algorithm-driven planning takes constraints into account, such as available machines and capacity, production speeds, changeover times, materials and operator capacity. Depending on the application, rules regarding allergens, recipes, batch sizes, priorities and delivery deadlines can also be included. When something changes, such as downtime, a delay or a new order, the schedule can be recalculated.
MRP does not primarily focus on the production sequence on the shop floor, but on what is needed to execute the planned production.
The module translates sales orders, forecasts, inventory and production rules into future material and raw material requirements. It can also take factors such as target stock levels, shelf life, promotions and fixed production days into account. This provides a clearer view of what needs to be available or purchased, and when.
Production orders can be sent directly from ERP or planning to the shop floor. For each order or process step, operators can see what needs to be done and receive the right work instructions at the right time.
During production, quantities, raw materials used, downtime, results and comments can be recorded digitally. This information can then be sent back to the ERP or other systems.
Quality controls are integrated directly into the production process. Instead of using separate forms or registrations, operators see the required checks for the relevant product or order at the right step in the process.
Measurements and results are recorded digitally and can be combined with data from machines or sensors. This brings production and quality information together and allows results to be tracked by batch or period.
With Track & Trace, we record which raw materials, materials and lot numbers were actually used in production.
This creates a traceable chain throughout the normal production process, from raw material and supplier to production batch and finished product. In the event of a quality issue, you can immediately identify which batches, materials or production runs are involved.
The MES can connect directly to machines and installations. This allows speeds, downtime, quantities, process values and machine status to be recorded automatically and linked to the correct production order or batch.
This data can be used for dashboards, historical analysis, reporting and OEE. There is no need to manually collect production data afterwards, giving you a clear view of what is happening in production.
The connection with machines also works in the other direction.
We translate production orders directly into the correct machine settings. This can include parameters for a production line or dosing system, but also the correct settings for printers and labelling machines. This reduces the need for operators to manually transfer or re-enter settings.
Machines are therefore always correctly configured for the next production run or product changeover.
Production, quality and process information is collected centrally and can be used for daily monitoring and analysis.
This includes produced quantities, downtime, process values, quality data and production history.
Maintenance tasks can be scheduled at fixed intervals or based on actual machine data, such as operating hours.
Upcoming maintenance tasks can therefore be identified in advance, allowing technicians to prepare their work more effectively. Depending on the project, this functionality can be extended with, for example, a technical logbook, spare parts inventory and other maintenance workflows.
