Ghent, Belgium – 01/09/2026 – Ansomat, a specialist in Operator Guidance Technology and smart assembly solutions, has launched the new Ansomat Management System, a centralized platform designed to reduce the engineering time and complexity involved in creating, managing and deploying digital work instructions across manufacturing operations. Digital work instructions have already demonstrated their value on the shopfloor. Academic research into digital operator guidance has shown significant improvements in task completion time, error reduction and operator independence compared with traditional instructions. But as manufacturers scale digital work instructions across more products, workstations and production sites, a new challenge emerges: the time and engineering effort required to create, maintain and deploy those instructions. The new Ansomat Management System is designed specifically to address that bottleneck.
Ansomat’s Operator Guidance technology has traditionally focused on the production environment: guiding operators step by step, connecting instructions with tools and technologies such as tightening systems and machine vision, and applying poka-yoke principles to verify that critical production steps are performed correctly.
The new Management System extends that philosophy beyond the operator and onto the engineer’s desk.
Instead of building and maintaining instructions individually at each workstation, process and manufacturing engineers can now create, edit, approve, version and deploy digital work instructions centrally from their desk.
Once created, instructions can be reused and deployed across multiple workstations or production sites, significantly reducing repetitive engineering work and making changes faster to implement.

At the heart of the new platform is a visual, drag-and-drop instruction editor designed to make creating digital work instructions intuitive for engineers.
Rather than programming directly at an individual production station, engineers can build instructions remotely in a familiar visual environment. Instructions can then be versioned, reviewed, approved and deployed centrally.
This separation between instruction engineering and shopfloor execution allows manufacturers to standardize how instructions are created while reducing dependence on individual machines or production stations.
Changes to products or processes can also be managed centrally, helping engineering teams respond faster to new variants, continuous improvement initiatives and changing production requirements.
The challenge becomes even greater as manufacturers expand operator guidance beyond individual pilot projects.
What may be manageable for a handful of workstations can become increasingly complex when hundreds of instructions, product variants, connected tools and multiple production locations are involved.

Maintaining quality control on the shopfloor
While the new platform focuses strongly on engineering efficiency, Ansomat’s underlying Operator Guidance technology continues to provide process control during production.
Interactive digital work instructions guide operators through each assembly step while connected technologies — including tightening systems, vision systems, RTLS and other production devices — can validate whether critical actions have been performed correctly.
This creates a closed loop between what engineering defines and what production executes.
Operator actions and production data can be recorded centrally, providing traceability and enabling manufacturers to monitor process performance through centralized reporting and KPI dashboards.
For individual products, production records can also provide a digital “birth certificate”, supporting the traceability and quality requirements commonly found in sectors such as automotive and aerospace.
The launch comes as academic research continues to quantify the potential impact of digital work instructions on manufacturing performance.
Research highlighted by Ansomat found that projection-based digital work instructions resulted in 16–20% faster task completion, 46–60% fewer errors and 69–83% fewer requests for assistance in the studied assembly environment.
The findings reinforce the value of delivering the right information to operators at the right moment. Ansomat believes the next challenge is making this technology practical to create, maintain and scale from an engineering perspective.
