Scandinavian Tobacco Group is a global cigar manufacturing company. Continuous industrial improvements are necessary to ensure the quality of the cigars. This leads to the replacement of an old traditional machine vision system (by Cognex) for automated quality inspection to a more advanced AI machine vision system (by ML6). Bernd will explain what inspections are performed on STG's production lines, the approach taken to replace the systems on a large number of production lines and the improvement of the new system compared to the old system.
