Due to the thick layers of concrete and steel in the factory in Odilliapeel, investments have been made to improve connectivity within the plant. Thanks to this comprehensive network, alarms from the AVEVA System Platform can be sent to operators on Android and iPhone devices. This gives employees much greater insight into the type of alarm and allows them to link actions to it, something that was not possible before with the pager.

In addition, the IQ Messenger SmartApp is used for lone workers within Peka Kroef’s distribution center in Veghel. Through the SmartApp, lone workers can easily and quickly raise an alarm in emergency situations.
