Howest offers training courses, applied research and knowledge-based advice on IT and OT security, ethical hacking, penetration testing, security governance, NIS2 & GDPR compliance, risk management, cyber resilience, business continuity, threat and incident management, and future trends in cyber security such as secure & private AI, post-quantum crypto-agility, CRA (Cyber Resilience Act), digital trust, etc.
WE strive for strong synergy between education and research. The Bachelor's programme in CyberSecurity – unique in Flanders – actively involves students in practical cases from the field.
Our collaboration with, among others, the Centre for Cybersecurity Belgium, CyberSecurity Coalition, Cyber Defense Factory, Antwerp Marine Academy, Quantum Circle, Beltug, Agoria, Sirris, De Blauwe Cluster, etc., as well as with industry and, in particular, the many IT and OT security companies in Belgium, gives us a unique neutral position to valorise that cybersecurity knowledge in practice-oriented training, research and services.
