In this talk, we will take a look at what 5G has delivered across factory floors and various industrial sectors—and where it still falls short for enabling truly autonomous operations. We will then explore what 6G is and how it can bridge those gaps, delivering on the promises 5G could not fully realize. With AI native design, integrated sensing, and ultra reliable networks, 6G will unlock capabilities such as edge intelligence, digital twins, and seamless terrestrial–non terrestrial connectivity. These advances will pave the way for deterministic performance, stronger security, and more sustainable industrial applications.
